Day Service

The Spencer Denney Day Centre is open Wednesday to Friday from 9:30 until 14:30.

Unlike lunch clubs, our day service charges by the day and everything is included. It will provide some exercise, a home cooked meal and a choice of stimulating activities each day.

We provide a varied set of activities and entertainment throughout the year and put on special events to mark occasions such as Christmas, Halloween etc.

Whether you are looking to come every week or just for a short time, while you get back on your feet, our Day Service is here to help you get the most of out of your life.

There is no annual membership fee but we charge by the day and for transport if required. To find out more please contact us for details.

Getting here

There is a small amount of off-road parking for those wishing to drive and electric scooters can be stored in our private garden or locked garage.

Door-to-door transport can be provided for those living within Windsor in our converted minivan. The bench seats, retractable steps and grab-bars make the minivan easier to get in and out of than an average car however it does not have a wheelchair lift. Our driver and volunteers can assist people in and out of the vehicle should anyone need a little help.

Refreshments and Food

There are morning and afternoon refreshments and a three course lunch. The freshly cooked meals are tailored to the needs of each person and we aim to provide a meal suitable to all dietary requirements.

Activities

We encourage group participation however it is up to the person if they wish to join in or not. Our volunteers and staff lead a variety of activities:

  • Singing
  • Quizzes, jigsaws, cards and other board games
  • Craft such as painting, making decorations for the Centre
