Visiting / Befriending Scheme

The aims of the Visiting / Befriending
Scheme are:
|

"To provide a link with the wider world and stimulate
conversation"
"To listen and
note anything that is a concern and bring it to the attention of the
Co-ordinator."

Below are
some guidance notes for those interested in taking part in the Visiting
Scheme |
|
- An
application form must be completed and the names of two referees
supplied.
- The
Minimum requirement for visiting is at least once a month.
- Attendance at two Visitor's meetings twice a year is
desirable.
- Housework is not part of the scheme.
- Shopping
is not to be undertaken on a regular basis.
- Reasonable requeste, e.g. Posting letters, buying a birthday
card, purchasing a forgotten item of shopping, may be carried
out.
- Medication must not be purchased or administered.
