Support Services

Befriending/Support within the Home.
Provided through Give&TakeCare and is a one to one service with carefully matched Care Giver and Care Recievers.

Befriending care is regular one-to-one support where a Care Giver visits a Care Reciever, usually in their own home. Befriending support varies but often includes the following types of activities:

  • Keeping someone company
  • Making cups of tea/coffee
  • Helping around the house, cleaning, tidying
  • Assisting with reading or writing (not finacial affairs)
  • Accompanying for walks or socialising
  • Walking the dog

Coffee Club
Is a drop in social group that meets every Tuesday, at the Spencer Denney Centre, from 14:00-16:00 for tea and cakes. It is open to anyone who would like to meet others and socialise. We charge £1 for refreshments and people are welcome to bring their own. Transport can be provided for those who live in Windsor if booked in advance.

Sunday Lunch Club
Will meet on the second Sunday of the month starting Sunday 12th August 2018, at the Spencer Denney Centre, for fun actiivites and a three course roast dinner. The Club will be open from 10:30 for lunch at 12:30 and closes at 14:00. Morning refreshments will be served on arrival and their will be a morning activity with plenty of time for people to socialise. Anyone over 55 and their families are welcome. Transport can be provided for anyone living within Windsor and booking is essential for both meal and transport no later than the second Monday of the month.
